Your data stays in the UK
All project data is processed and stored within the United Kingdom. This is not just a compliance decision. It is a sustainability one. Keeping data local means less energy spent moving it.
Lower network energy
Data travelling between a UK user and a UK data centre passes through just a handful of network hops. The same request routed to a US data centre would cross thousands of miles of undersea fibre and the amplifiers along it, using measurably more energy per gigabyte and adding latency.
Cleaner grid
The UK electricity grid has dropped to around 150 gCO₂ per kWh, down from over 500 a decade ago. This is driven by offshore wind and nuclear, making the UK one of the cleanest grids in Europe. Combined with our hosting provider's 79% carbon-free energy, effective emissions are very low.
Data sovereignty
All project data remains within UK borders. This satisfies GDPR, the Building Safety Act's digital record-keeping requirements, and Cyber Essentials expectations, while also reducing the environmental cost of data transport.

Shorter round-trip times mean fewer retries, faster responses, and less idle server time. This compounds into measurably lower energy consumption per user session.
